Sunway Pyramid Ice is hailed the first place of its kind in Malaysia, where you can enjoy a day of ice-skating during your holiday in Kuala Lumpur.
It?s a common sight to see budding figure skaters training at Pyramid Ice. But even if you are an amateur or just want to give ice skating a try, Pyramid Ice is open for all. Just bear in mind that while ice-skating may seem easy, it requires certain muscle coordination to stay upright. But once you get the hang of it, gliding across ice will be effortless.
Sunway Pyramid Ice is hailed the first place of its kind in Malaysia, where you can enjoy a day of ice-skating during your holiday in Kuala Lumpur. It?s located on the lower ground floor of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, and has played host to numerous international sports competitions and musicals since 1997.
Spanning almost 877 square metres, this ice-skating rink is breathtaking from above thanks to glass panels surrounding each level. You can catch sight of experienced skaters practising their routines from time to time, as Sunway Pyramid Ice is part of ISIAsia (Ice Skating Institute Asia), which trains professional figure-skaters in Malaysia.
Tickets are valid until you exit the ice rink, and cost RM20 during weekdays, RM25 on weekends and RM28 during school and public holidays. Visitors are also required to wear gloves and socks when skating, both of which are available at the ticketing counter for RM6 and RM9 respectively. Sunway Pyramid Ice offers 30-minute lessons for those without basic skating skills, with rates starting at RM70 on weekdays and RM75 on weekends.
