Also known as Balai Seni Visual Negara, the gallery was the idea put forth by the first prime minister of the nation a year after Malaya gained the independence from the colonial rule of the British. The original location of the gallery was in the first Parliament House but is now relocated with an ever growing collection of work of arts at the new site-launched officially by the fourth prime minister of the nation - Tun Dr. Mahathir. He is one of the greatest leaders of the country who helped developed the country in every aspect, making it one of the most developing countries in the world.

In this gallery of Visual Arts, you can see up to 4000 masterpieces by well-known local and overseas employees. Among the most famous collections in the gallery are batik and pop art.
