Kuala Lumpur Library or Perpustakaan Kuala Lumpur is located near KL City Gallery and Dataran Merdeka. Formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Memorial Library, this is the place to go if you are looking for books to read or simply need a place to do your research work. This library is managed by Kuala Lumpur City Hall and has quite a complete range of books for your reference as well as borrowing. 

Built in 1989, the library has a wealth of monographs, music, magazines, newspapers, business, economics, art. Other facilities available at the library include meeting rooms, multipurpose hall, two exhibition galleries, internet facilities and an auditorium. The adult library and children library are located in separate buildings but is within walking distance of each other.

Previously closed for renovation, the Kuala Lumpur library had finally opened its doors to the public once more in November 2019. The library was given a whole new look, complete with stunning d?cor and facilities that would make any bookworm squeal in glee. Members will have full access to the private rooms and computers there. Parents and children alike will enjoy the section dedicated to those between four and twelve years old.
